I want to express…..

I am always told that I am loud when it comes to my views and opinions, therefore the creation of this blog!

This blog is for me to express my impressions of the world, life and everyday matters and see if I am the only one who sees things the way I do or if there are “others” out there. I appreciate everyone’s input. Thanks for visiting and pass it on!

Finally!! A fun OSCARS Show!

I didn’t even know the OSCARS were on last night. I simply turned on my tv to watch “THE AMAZING RACE” and when the tv came on, it was on ABC. I was watching the red carpet interviews before I changed it to “THE AMAZING RACE”, thinking to myself, “oh no! No “Desparate Housewives” tonight because of this boring crap!”

Well, guess what? I loved the show! I turned the channel at 8:30 pm, when there were commercials of course, and Hugh Jackman had just started his musical number. It was hilarious and fun!! Well, needless to say I was shocked.

I really don’t like the OSCARS or the OSCAR nominees. I never follow it because it is just boring for me. None of the movies ever nominated are my cup of tea. Ok, so this year maybe there were a couple I would watch. I can tell you for sure that “SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE” has peaked my interest. But I never would have known, had I not watched the show. All because of Hugh Jackman! Yes, he made the OSCARS fun!

Whoever made this choice for host has my appreciation and congratulations!! Stick to this style of show and you may raise your ratings after all.

Pushing Daisies finale in limbo

Filed under: Uncategorized — beingloud @ 1:49 pm

Well I guess that we PD fans will not be getting closure soon on the series as ABC has shelved it and has no current plans to air the final 3 episodes. ABC sticks it to us again!!

I’m going to Disney World!

Well that’s what the Cruises said this week when they went to visit Mickey Mouse at Walt Disney World, Florida (my side of town). Of course, they have to take the loving family pictures to make sure they can deduct this as a working trip and of course give Suri more publicity so she can make more money than they do at a very early age.

You can even tell, in one of the pictures where, Tom’s son Connor, adopted by Nicole and him when they were married, was sort of excluded from the family unit in the pictures. Very Sad!

This is not the first time Connor has been dissed by his “father”, remember the movie premiere where he made his first acting debut? He was there by himself, no “Mommy” or “Daddy” to support him. It was the recent Will Smith movie, Seven Pounds. At least he can live in the lap of luxury for awhile, but if I were him I’d sack away my own stash just in case they tell me I’m on my own when I turn eighteen. Shameful!!

Here is the story of the Cruises at Disney World and here is the story of Connor attending his premiere alone.

It’s been a long time….

I’ve been away for awhile. I know I have not inserted any new posts in over a month but I was kind of discouraged with this whole blogging thing.

Everyone raves about this blogging thing and how so many people communicate via blogs and such, but I don’t ever see one comment on any of my posts. I know someone out there has to have something to say about what I post. Not everyone that reads these post agrees with me I’m sure. So I didn’t see a motivation to keep writing if there was no interaction.

Then something changed my mind: my stats. After a month of not logging in, I log in and find I had over 100 views last month. That’s exciting! So many people are actually viewing my posts! I like to know that I am not writing in vain and now that I know, I will keep doing it.

I just wish I could get some comments from you all. What do you guys need to spur you to take a minute to type in a comment? Do you need motivation? Should I post more controversial topics or should I keep it strictly entertainment? I’ve noticed my tv posts get the most hits, so maybe I will continue that thread.

Maybe I will set up a contest or giveaway to the person with the most comments in a month. I have to figure that one out a little more.

For now, I am back and I will be posting more often.

Thanks for visiting!

Travolta Tragedy

It is sad to learn of Jett Travolta’s unexpected death. Much sadder still that any parent would have to live through their child’s death, especially when it is accidental and unexpected.

I send out my sincerest condolences to the family.

Pushing Daisies Cliffhanger

Do you believe Ned’s Dad is back?!! And he is no other than George Hamilton!!! WOW, this was going to be a great story line indeed. Too bad ABC won’t let it play out!!

I just loved Wednesday’s show, gripping until the end. Though I do wonder how they will tie up all these loose  ends in the last episode.

I keep praying another network will pick up the show, but it looks like Bryan Fuller, the shows creator, gave up on it to go back to HEROES, another show that is on the brink.

I guess people just don’t like to be entertained with really creative, funny and compelling story lines. The instant gratification generation just wants to be pummelled with reality stink. Let’s just hope and pray that some of our other faves like LOST, Desperate Housewives and some other greats can make it. Let’s help get the reality crap off the air by changing the channel or turning off the idiot box when they come on. Maybe that way some culture will come back into our lives.

Interesting article on EW about this, read it here.

Finally something good…….

This is great news for the advocate of children. John Walsh and his family deserve this closure. When this crime occurred back in the early 80’s there were no real laws that protected children. Actually, not many people believed their children would ever be harmed in any way. So as a result children were allowed to go places and be places that today would be thought to be neglect.

I don’t agree with the end of this article, which states that parents now are paranoid and that John Walsh created this. I think the way the world is now, it is not being paranoid, it is being careful with our children and protecting them.

John Walsh is a hero like very few. My hats of to you, John!

Pushing Daisies Finale

Well according to what I’ve been reading there may be a decent finale to the show instead of a cliffhanger.

According to Bryan Fuller, he is altering the beginning and ending of the last show in order to make it more like a concluded finale. They don’t know yet if it will air, but let’s hope ABC will come to it’s senses and decide to do a good deed for it’s viewers.

Read about the series finale story here.
